We are located 1.5 hours north of the city of Sambava on the main paved modern road spanning the vanilla coast, in Madagascar. There is a guesthouse on the premise and basic shops, but not really any proper restaurants. We can and do usually cook for guests. There is LTE reception from excellent telecom infrastructure, Madagascar being one of the fastest data speed rates in the world, with faster backhaul than even countries like Japan.
You can visit the green collection season in the summer, or the
curing and rolling and boiling season in the early fall. You can visit the super hectic shipping season around the holidays, and you can visit vanilla vines any time of year. You need literally at LEAST a week in the region to see anything, and fortunately there are great beaches, parks, a lemur center, nature reserves, and good nightlife in the vanilla coast.
We only have 4 rooms in the guesthouse, and so larger delegations may have to stay in Sambava where the excellent and well-appointed, well-run Carrefour (Ask for Daniel the manager) and Orchid Beach II (Ask for Michel the manager) Hotels cater to vanilla buyers and companies for ages.
We can arrange airport transfers and cheap tours in the tourist destinations throughout the rest of Madagascar too.
